The Instructor will engage in clinical duties within neonatal intensive care units, while also contributing to the teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. The position allows for meaningful involvement in research initiatives aimed at improving neonatal outcomes and patient care practices. Working in a collaborative, academically rich environment, the instructor will help shape both clinical protocols and educational programs. This role balances hands-on patient care with impactful teaching and research opportunities, within a supportive and high-achieving clinical setting. Some in-person presence is required, with limited flexibility for remote work.
- Provide expert clinical care in neonatal intensive care units, including high-risk and follow-up patients
- Participate actively in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and neonatal nurse practitioner trainees
- Contribute to the design and implementation of clinical research projects aimed at improving neonatal outcomes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, researchers, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Support the development and delivery of educational programs and curricula for various levels of trainees
- Maintain compliance with institutional protocols, clinical guidelines, and safety standards
Requirements:
- MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, with board certification or board eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Demonstrated clinical excellence in neonatal care and experience in NICU settings
- Proven track record or strong interest in academic teaching and mentorship
- Research experience or potential for scholarly contribution in neonatology or related fields
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, academic healthcare environment
