SCOPE OF ROLE

Reporting to the Director, Education and Training, the Co-Trainer, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) will work in partnership with the Trainer, EMDR, to deliver EMDRIA-approved therapy training and group consultation to Signature Health staff. The Co-Trainer, EMDR role will be engaged to co-train as training opportunities become available and will ensure alignment with EMDRIA protocols and standards. The Co-Trainer, EMDR will uphold high standards of clinical practice, training, certification, and evidence-based care, supporting clinicians in delivering effective treatment to their patients.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

  • Support a standout educational experience for employees by co-facilitating quality EMDR training, increasing the clinician’s skillset and familiarity with EMDR therapy.
  • Assume a leading role in supporting breakout groups during EMDR training sessions.
  • Maintain related employee training documentation, records of certification, and licensure.
  • Lead group consultation sessions to enhance application of learner knowledge and develop EMDR skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in mental health field (Counseling, Marriage Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work) or related discipline required.
  • Valid unencumbered Independent License in the state of Ohio required.
  • EMDRIA Certified Therapist status required.
  • EMDRIA Consultant in Training status or intent to declare as an EMDRIA Consultant in Training required. Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDR Trainer, Approved Consultant by EMDRIA preferred.
  • Possess a working knowledge of mental health, chemical dependency, safety, and group dynamics.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment.
  • While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required.
  • Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work.
  • Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Physical effort required: occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted.
  • Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday.
  • Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
