About This Position

We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for an Complex Assistant General Manager.

Position Summary

The Complex Assistant General Manager (AGM) serves as the primary operational leader supporting the Complex General Manager in overseeing two high-volume, beachfront hotels. This role is responsible for driving daily execution, ensuring alignment across both properties, and delivering exceptional guest experiences while optimizing operational performance.

The Complex AGM acts as the bridge between strategic direction and on-the-ground execution, partnering closely with Directors of Rooms, Food & Beverage, and shared services leaders to achieve financial and service goals.

What will you be doing most days?

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across both hotels, ensuring consistent execution of service standards, brand expectations, and guest experience.
  • Maintain a strong on-property presence, particularly during peak periods, weekends, and high-volume business levels.
  • Serve as the senior operational leader in the absence of the Complex General Manager.

Cross-Property Alignment

  • Drive consistency in service delivery, policies, and procedures across both properties.
  • Lead daily/weekly operational meetings to align priorities, communication, and execution.
  • Optimize use of shared resources including Housekeeping, Engineering, HR, and Finance.

Food & Beverage Oversight

  • Partner closely with Food & Beverage Directors to ensure execution across high-volume outlets generating significant annual revenue.
  • Support revenue optimization through service flow, seating efficiency, and guest engagement.
  • Maintain a visible presence in F&B operations during peak demand periods.

Financial Performance

  • Support achievement of revenue, labor, and expense targets across both hotels.
  • Monitor labor efficiency, cost controls, and operational productivity.
  • Partner with the Controller and department leaders to drive flow-through and profitability.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and hold department leaders accountable for performance and behavioral standards.
  • Foster a collaborative “one team” culture across both properties.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for operational and personnel challenges.

Guest Experience

  • Drive service excellence and oversee service recovery efforts.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction metrics (GSS, QA, Stay Experience Platform) and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Ensure leadership visibility and engagement with guests.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness across both properties.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • 5–8+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, preferably in multi-unit or resort environments.
  • Strong operational background in both Rooms and Food & Beverage.
  • Proven ability to lead high-volume, complex operations with multiple revenue streams.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing labor and operational costs.
  • Flexibility to work a demanding schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
  • Experience in high-volume food & beverage environments strongly preferred

Physical Requirements for this Position

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.

Travel Requirements

This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight
