Platform Manager- Technical Infrastructure at Jobgether – India

This role offers a unique opportunity to own and scale a mission-driven data platform used by policymakers, researchers, and citizens. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving a complex technical ecosystem that blends web development, data engineering, and infrastructure thinking. Working at the intersection of technology and public policy, you’ll collaborate closely with domain experts to transform raw data into meaningful insights. You’ll leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring system reliability and scalability. • Own and maintain a large-scale data platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous improvement
• Develop and enhance platform features, visualizations, and user-facing capabilities as product needs evolve
• Manage and optimize data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, validation, and storage from multiple sources
• Build and maintain GIS-based visualizations and mapping outputs to highlight regional insights
• Collaborate closely with research and policy teams to implement data models and scoring methodologies
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to automate workflows, accelerate engineering tasks, and reduce manual effort
• Oversee system architecture, deployment processes, and technical documentation, proactively addressing technical debt

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a track record of maintaining and scaling production systems
• Strong proficiency in React and Python, along with experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality management
• Familiarity with GIS tools and the ability to create clear, high-quality data visualizations and maps
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools as part of daily workflows to improve productivity and efficiency
• Ability to understand and translate complex data and domain-specific requirements into technical solutions
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
