About This Position

Role Summary

This role is a revenue-driving, provider-facing position designed for a licensed pharmacist transitioning into a sales-led function within our 503A compounding pharmacy network. The Hybrid Clinical Pharmacist serves as a strategic sales partner to prescribers, leveraging deep clinical expertise to drive adoption, utilization, and growth of compounded therapies.

The primary focus of this role is sales execution and organic business growth, including field campaigning, provider engagement, territory development, and conference participation. Clinical responsibilities are incorporated as needed to support sales efforts—such as provider or patient consultations, clinical education, and therapeutic guidance, enhancing credibility and accelerating prescribing decisions.

This is a critical role for the advancement of our 503A compounding pharmacy network. Significant time will be devoted to field campaigning with a focus of driving sales by strategically promoting our 503A preparations. Also responsible for building influential connections and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with new providers, with a strong emphasis on organic new business growth. This position requires a commitment to exceeding challenging financial objectives while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Network Development and Expansion:

  • Identify and target potential prescribers, including physicians, clinics, and other healthcare facilities, to expand our 503A compounding pharmacy prescriber base.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities and partnership prospects within the healthcare industry, leveraging existing networks and conducting market research.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to organically grow and diversify the network, aligning with organizational projections and market trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing network providers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Field Sales:

  • Conduct face-to-face provider visits, presentations, and education sessions with providers and key decision makers to maximize impact.
  • Articulate the value propositions of our 503A compounding pharmacies and their services adeptly, ensuring alignment with provider needs and addressing concerns effectively.
  • Develop and execute strategic Territory Business Plans aimed at enhancing brand visibility, engaging providers and fostering provider relationships.
  • Emphasize the identification and pursuit of organic opportunities for growth, integrating these into sales planning and execution strategies.
  • Proactively gather feedback from providers to pinpoint areas for improvement and fine-tune future strategies accordingly.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and business events to represent the organization, network, and generate new business leads.

Provider Education and Training:

  • Compile and distribute educational materials and resources to support prescribers in understanding the benefits and best practices of our pharmacies and therapeutic scope.
  • Coordinate training sessions for prescribers to increase awareness and utilization of our services.
  • Serve as a resource for providers, offering guidance and support on compounding pharmacy regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Leverage clinical expertise to enhance credibility and influence provider decision making.

Financial Goal Achievement:

  • Understand and strategize how to meet aggressive financial goals for network growth and revenue generation.
  • Execute strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve targets.
  • Monitor performance metrics and financial indicators, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize outcomes and maximize profitability.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics tools (PowerBi) to track and analyze provider performance metrics, network growth, and market trends.
  • Use CRM tools (Hubspot) to log all provider interactions – meetings, calls, emails – for transparency across our collaborative teams.
  • Prepare and participate in regular reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting key insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats to the network.
  • Develop and execute Territory Business Plan.

Clinical Support Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pharmacist-led consultations with providers regarding therapeutic options, dosing strategies, clinical protocols, stability/BUD considerations, and patient-specific treatment plans.
  • Conduct patient consults for Penile Rehab Protocol as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Clinical Liaisons, and Marketing to create and deliver educational content tailored to provider needs.
  • Host training sessions to improve prescriber understanding of compounded therapies and best practices.
  • Perform ongoing evaluation of therapeutic trends to identify opportunities for new formulations or service enhancements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or RPh required.
  • Prior experience in compounding, clinical consulting, or prescriber education is required.
  • Proven experience in provider relations, business development, or sales is required. Compounding pharmacy sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and executing Territory Business Plan, conferences, and promotional events.
  • Knowledge of compounding pharmacy regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel within territory and for provider visits and conference participation 60% of the time.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, goal achievement, and hunting for new opportunities.
