Stock Clerk, FT at Unity Health – Searcy, Arkansas

1. Education: High School education or equivalent is required.

2. Training and Experience: Experience with perpetual inventory is desirable. Experience with computer, typing, and 10-key calculator. Experience driving transportation vehicle as needed in a safe manner. Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and a clean driving record.

3. Job Knowledge: Must be phone courteous, computer literate and able to use technology to move materials in the system. Must know general hospital regulations and reporting requirements as obtained through one year of on-the-job training.

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the accurate and timely distribution, storage, and issue of storeroom inventory to area campuses. Fills main storeroom and transfers daily supplies to the hospital floor’s clean rooms. Must be able to use a floor pallet jack to move materials around to stock. Responsible for using FIFO on stocking processes and in the tracking of expired products. Supports the organizations Mission, Vision and Values as it correlates to the Materials Management department.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Must be able to lift or push up to 50lbs. Must be able to use a floor pallet jack to move materials around to stock. The individual must be able to bend over to perform stocking duties and walk long distances without hardship in servicing departments. The individual must be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways and storage rooms. Trips to various departments will be required. A minimal amount of writing and computer entry is required.
