Job Summary:

Employees in this position will greet and transport hospital patients to and from their rooms to procedure areas and from admissions and discharges.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

CPR certified

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

Experience in handling oxygen cylinders, lifting and moving patients, operation of hospital beds and bed rails preferred.

Language/Communication Skills:

English required. Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to speak, see and hear effectively before the transport group and other groups of MRHC employees.

Reasoning Abilities:

Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in oral, written or diagram form. Must be able to solve problems using accepted problem-solving techniques.
