About This Position
At True North Fleet Services, in partnership with trusted partner – The Myles Companies, we are looking for a Diesel Repair Service Manager who takes pride in leading strong teams, driving shop performance, and ensuring high-quality service operations.
This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shop operations, developing technicians, and maintaining a culture focused on safety, efficiency, and accountability. Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily operations of a diesel repair shop to ensure efficient workflow
Manage, coach, and develop diesel technicians and shop staff
Ensure high-quality repairs, safety compliance, and service standards
Communicate with customers by providing estimates and explaining repairs
Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime
Monitor shop productivity, performance, and turnaround times
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Oversee parts inventory and coordinate ordering as needed
Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability and growth
Qualifications
• 3+ years of diesel repair experience (fleet, dealership, or independent shop)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians
Familiarity with shop operations, workflow management, and KPIs
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
