About This Position

Role Overview
The Data Engineer with strong Power BI experience will support enterprise data and reporting initiatives. This individual will help design, build, and maintain data pipelines, reporting solutions, and dashboards that improve business visibility and decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in data engineering along with the ability to support reporting and analytics needs in partnership with business stakeholders. This role will work across data sources and business functions to help improve reporting quality, streamline access to data, and support scalable analytics solutions. Experience in enterprise environments and the ability to connect technical work to business needs will be important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs
  • Develop, enhance, and support Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into practical data and reporting solutions
  • Integrate and transform data from multiple enterprise systems and sources
  • Improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility across reporting environments
  • Support the development of reusable datasets, semantic models, and reporting structures
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, identify root causes, and support resolution efforts
  • Help establish best practices around data validation, governance, and report performance
  • Collaborate with IT, business teams, and external partners on data-related initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data flows, reporting logic, and system processes


Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics engineering
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including report development, dashboards, data modeling, and DAX
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience integrating data from multiple business systems and enterprise applications
  • Ability to work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into reporting and data solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or enterprise operational environment
  • Experience with ERP, finance, or commercial data
  • Familiarity with data governance and reporting controls
  • Exposure to cloud data environments or modern data platforms
  • Experience supporting executive or operational reporting
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
