CREDIT ANALYST at Green Belt Bank & Trust – Iowa Falls, Iowa

Scope:

The Credit Analyst will support the bank’s objective of maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio through comprehensive financial analysis in order to ensure borrower creditworthiness. The Credit Analyst will collaborate with loan officers in order to achieve bank objectives set within bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

The Credit Analyst will:

· Analyze borrower financial information including but not limited to:

o Financial statements and cash flows.

o Calculation of applicable financial ratios.

o Review of financial projections including scenarios that test validity.

o Determination of collateral adequacy.

o Computation of credit score and assignment of risk rating.

o Identification of primary and secondary sources of repayment.

o Maintenance of collateral inspection reports.

o Annual review of tax returns.

o Financial review of any guarantors.

o Spread financials info in Moody’s.

o Assist/complete credit presentation for approval.

o Special economic, industry and market analysis.

· Communicate with borrower and/or borrower’s financial representatives in order to resolve unanswered financial questions.

· Maintain an auditing system for loan files in accordance with bank policies.

· Assist in incorporating and instilling ongoing loan portfolio quality monitors and measures and loan portfolio stress testing.

· Assist in drafting of models for credit and credit trend analysis such as loan concentrations, lender capacity and classified assets.

· Act as system administrator for Moody’s Lending Cloud or other credit underwriting systems or platforms.

· Manage appraisals, internal evaluations and review process.

· Assist with internal loan reviews and audit processes.

· Accompany lenders to site visits.

· Attend Loan Committee meetings in order to answer questions related credit analyses and file documentation.

· Adhere to credit policy and guidelines.

· Be actively involved in the communities we serve while representing the bank in a positive, professional and ethical manner.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

· A 4-year college degree in an applicable area

· Specific banking industry education is an added advantage.

Experience:

· Experience working with cross-functional teams.

· Two plus years of experience in auditing, credit risk management or similar field.

· Banking and/or lending experience is an added advantage.
