This is a global, strategic commercial role focused on driving growth within highly specialized scientific market segments such as geoscience and forensic science. You will play a key role in shaping market strategy, expanding key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across advanced analytical instrumentation solutions. The position combines deep technical understanding with commercial ownership, requiring close collaboration with sales, product management, marketing, and application teams worldwide. You will actively engage with the scientific and industrial communities through conferences, trade shows, and technical events to strengthen market positioning. This role is both strategic and hands-on, blending market development, key account management, and segment-level marketing execution. It offers the opportunity to directly influence global business growth in a high-tech, innovation-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead global market segment activities for assigned domains, including geoscience and forensic science, in coordination with sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Manage and develop global key accounts, ensuring strong relationships and alignment across multiple stakeholders and business units.
  • Support global sales strategy execution, including opportunity ownership, lead management, and CRM-driven decision-making processes.
  • Define and adapt segment-specific sales approaches, including pricing, discount strategies, and opportunity evaluation.
  • Drive sales application activities such as product demonstrations, sample testing, workshops, and customer engagement events.
  • Develop and execute segment marketing strategies, including TAM/SAM analysis, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement content.
  • Identify new applications, market opportunities, and sales channels to support long-term business growth.
  • Collaborate with service, product, and marketing teams to refine offerings, pricing models, and customer value propositions.
  • Act as Key Account Manager when required, managing executive-level relationships and global customer engagement strategies.
  • Ensure effective internal communication across global sales and support teams to align strategy and execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Business qualification (MBA or equivalent) or at least 3 years of experience with budget, P&L, or strategic marketing responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the geoscience or related analytical instrumentation industry.
  • Strong understanding of mineral, oil & gas, or materials analysis processes and technologies (e.g., XRD, XRF, SEM-EDS, micro-XRF).
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or technical marketing within a high-tech or scientific environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical capabilities into market opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive approach to problem-solving and market strategy development.
  • Ability to engage confidently in customer-facing, technical, and executive-level discussions.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with performance-based incentives aligned to global impact.
  • Opportunity to work in a global, innovation-driven scientific technology environment.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge analytical instrumentation used in research and industrial applications worldwide.
  • International scope with regular engagement across conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Strong career development opportunities within a global scientific and industrial organization.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional working environment with technical and commercial experts.
  • Opportunity to directly influence product strategy, market expansion, and global key accounts.
