This role sits at the heart of a global cloud enablement and platform engineering organization, focused on building the tools, systems, and standards that power large-scale SaaS delivery. You will help design and evolve the shared infrastructure and developer platform used by engineering teams across multiple regions, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient software delivery. The position emphasizes reliability, automation, and operational excellence across cloud-native environments. You will collaborate closely with development teams to reduce operational complexity and improve developer experience through scalable tooling and well-defined engineering practices. The environment is highly technical, distributed, and innovation-driven, with a strong focus on cloud optimization and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences platform reliability, cost efficiency, and engineering productivity at scale.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will design, build, and support shared cloud infrastructure, platform tooling, and reliability systems that enable engineering teams to deliver and operate services efficiently at scale.

  • Design, build, and maintain shared platform tools and delivery systems used across engineering teams.
  • Improve developer experience by reducing operational overhead through automation, standards, and self-service tooling.
  • Define and promote best practices for CI/CD, observability, security, and runtime environments.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to understand needs and deliver scalable platform solutions.
  • Implement and support cloud infrastructure and automation strategies to improve reliability and performance.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives through automation, monitoring, and engineering best practices.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and patterns to continuously evolve platform capabilities.
  • Support incident management, troubleshooting, and operational excellence across cloud environments.
Requirements:

This role requires strong experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with deep technical expertise in distributed systems and automation.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing services in public cloud environments (Azure preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a senior or platform engineering role within a centralized cloud enablement or SRE team.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration at scale.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of observability practices including logs, metrics, and tracing using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies and automation techniques.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or C#.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking (TCP/IP, DNS), and system design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working in globally distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with senior engineering roles
  • Fully remote and globally distributed work environment
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale cloud platforms used by thousands of engineering teams
  • Strong focus on developer experience, automation, and engineering excellence
  • Professional growth in cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering domains
  • Collaborative and inclusive engineering culture
  • Exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and enterprise-scale systems
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across teams
