What You’ll Do

As our Marketing Manager, you will be the engine behind our data-driven, performance-focused marketing strategy—helping us grow, evolve, and communicate Sprague’s mission across the Western U.S.

Lead & Inspire the Marketing Team
  • Own all internal and external communications, including company announcements, press releases, blogs, and case studies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team with a strong sense of accountability, collaboration, and purpose.
  • Create clear priorities, growth opportunities, and feedback rhythms that support engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership on internal communications and initiatives that reinforce culture and the employee experience.
Drive Data-Informed Marketing Performance
  • Develop and maintain marketing dashboards, reports, and scorecards that track KPIs, ROI, pipeline impact, and campaign performance.
  • Analyze performance across digital, email, web, paid media, CRM, and events to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Establish benchmarks, forecasting models, and performance targets to guide planning and budget decisions.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns and spend based on performance insights.
Shape Strategy & Business Alignment
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, and Finance to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with growth, retention, and business priorities.
  • Present marketing plans, progress, and outcomes to leadership with clarity and strategic context.
  • Act as a key voice in conversations around brand positioning, culture, and market differentiation.
Own Events & Brand Experiences
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of company events, including internal meetings, customer events, and industry engagement.
  • Manage event calendars, budgets, logistics, vendors, and post-event evaluations.
  • Ensure every event reflects Sprague’s brand standards and delivers a meaningful, memorable experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize the impact of events across audiences.
Build Strong Processes & Systems
  • Own marketing systems and reporting workflows, including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish standardized processes for campaign tracking, documentation, reporting cadence, and data hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, brand standards, and internal governance policies.
  • Maintain clear documentation and SOPs that support scalability and operational excellence.

Requirements:

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of marketing experience with heavy analytics focus
  • 5+ years of team leadership
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with large datasets
  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, BI dashboards
  • High proficiency with Excel/Sheets
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities with structure and clarity

Position Title: Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Salary: $100,000-110,000 annually plus incentives

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is a leader responsible for strengthening the company’s brand, internal and external communications, elevating team member engagement and retention, and ensuring marketing programs align closely with executive leadership and business priorities. This role guides strategic planning within the marketing team, and manages external vendor relationships while delivering high-impact branding, events, and internal marketing initiatives.

This individual partners closely with senior management to translate company vision into cohesive marketing strategies that support growth, culture, and long-term brand equity. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader, strong communicator, and thoughtful strategist who can balance creativity, operational excellence, and people leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Engagement

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of marketing experience with strong emphasis on analytics, reporting, and performance management.
  • 5+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar), marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, BI tools, dashboards).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Sheets and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Travel may be required (less than 10%).

  • High proficiency in: Microsoft Outlook (email management, calendars, task coordination); WordPress (content management and updates)

Physical Requirements:

Long periods of stationary work, working on a computer, moving between various work areas, going up and down stairs, talking on the phone, working with office/computer equipment, and sitting at desk or table while listening, talking and taking notes.
