About This Position

Receptionist

Location: Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, 3200 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Greets visitors, patients and associates entering the Good Shepherd facility. Provides customer service to all who enter the building. Provides assistance with all transportation needs of our patients.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • COMPLETES PRIMARY CUSTOMERS’ PURPOSE FOR ENTERING THE FACILITY
      • By addressing their needs and directing them to their proper destination.
      • By answering phones and routing calls to the appropriate location.
      • Assist Facilities Assistant with closing out preventative maintenance work orders.
      • Maintain an up to date phone directory including emergecy contacts for outside contractors.
      • Maintain a listing of all Do Not Announce patients for all Good Shepherd facilities at the front desk of the Rehabilitation Hospital and update as needed.
      • By working with all Good Shepherd departments on the Allentown and Bethlehem campuses handling customer service requests.
      • Assist Admissions department with after hour admissions.
    • FACILITATE TELEPHONE CALLS MADE TO THE FACILITY’S MAIN TELEPHONE NUMBERS
      • By directing calls to their proper destination.
    • MAINTAINS SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE FACILITY
      • By assisting with coordinating all code calls and other alarm messages, keeping up-to-date emergency numbers, department directories, key personnel directories as well as a directory of all patient room numbers and telephone extensions.
    • DISTRIBUTES INFORMATION
      • By routing mail and memos to the proper recipient and utilizing the Hospital’s computer systems.
    • CONTRIBUTES TO A POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT
      • By addressing work duties and concerns of customers in an effective and positive manner.
    • CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
      • By accomplishing related results as needed.

        • High School Diploma required
      • Work Experience
        • 2-4 years of experience as a receptionist preferred
