About This Position

Description:

Job Title: Tanker Receiver

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

1st Shift

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.

$15.75/hour

Tends pump that pumps incoming ingredients from tankers to storage tank and/or totes, and rinses tankers by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Dips and pours sample of ingredient from vent hole of tanker into bottle for laboratory analysis.
  • Inspects tanker before off loading.
  • Connects hose between sanitary valves of tanker and storage tank and/or totes, starts pump, and turns valves to transfer ingredient to tank and/or totes.
  • Coordinates with chemistry lab for proper tote labels.
  • Stops pump when transfer is completed.
  • Rinses tanker with water hose.
  • Removes nozzle and seals vent hole.
  • Maintains off loading hoses and ports.
  • Maintains tanker bay area.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to physically perform the following:

• Lift 50 pounds 50-100 times during the shift

• Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift

• Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms

• Climb up/onto and descend from tankers using ladders

• Carry product hoses

• Talk and hear

• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
