Job Title: Web Development Engineer (React / Next.js)

Location: Northbrook, IL (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are looking for a Web Development Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize high-quality web experiences using React and Next.js. This role will work closely with leadership teams to deliver a modern, scalable website and marketing infrastructure that supports lead generation, conversion, and growth.

This position is designed for someone who can operate as the technical owner and subject-matter expert for our websitesomeone who proactively identifies issues, brings solutions to leadership, and drives execution. Whether the need involves performance, tracking, integrations, compliance, or deployment process, youll be expected to come with recommendations and implement improvements.

Our website is hosted on AWS and integrates with a broad marketing and analytics stack.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development & Frontend Engineering
Build and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
Develop clean, scalable, well-tested UI components using modern frontend patterns
Own code quality through strong engineering practices (reviews, testing, documentation, maintainability)
Maintain a disciplined Git workflow using GitHub (branching strategies, pull requests, release management)

Environment, Releases & Reliability
Implement and manage a staging environment and support safe release practices (QA ? staging ? production)
Monitor website performance and stability, proactively addressing issues related to speed, SEO health, and reliability
Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver improvements without sacrificing quality or security

CMS & Web Content Systems
Implement and support headless CMS for content-driven pages and modular site components
Collaborate with marketing and design teams using tools like Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud to deliver production-ready web experiences
Support and maintain existing web frameworks and page systems as needed (including Divi, where applicable)
Ensure website routing, structure, and user experience supports lead capture and conversion goals

CRM & Lead Flow Integrations
Support website-to-CRM workflows and marketing automation integrations, including:
o Salesforce / Pardot (forms, lead routing, attribution support, lifecycle tracking)
Ensure integrations are stable, measurable, and aligned with business objectives

Automation, Compliance & Website Enhancements
Implement and support website chatbot functionality and troubleshoot issues impacting conversion or user experience
Support automation workflows and integrations using Zapier
Ensure cookie consent and compliance tooling is functioning properly across environments
Contribute to scalable content workflows and AI-assisted enablement tools where appropriate

What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3-5+ years of experience building production web applications
Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with React and Next.js
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend best practices
Experience integrating third-party tools and APIs (CRM, marketing, analytics)
Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web performance optimization
Comfortable working in Git-based workflows
Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience with CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity, etc.)
Experience with cloud hosting (Vercel, AWS, Netlify)
Familiarity with marketing tech stacks (HubSpot, Pardot, Salesforce)
Experience with experimentation or CRO tools
Some backend experience (Node.js, serverless functions)
