POSITION SUMMARY
Our Southern Region is looking to hire a Regional L&D Solutions Manager. The position will support our professional staff while working closely with the regions HR Vice President, Corporate Learning & Development and Regional Leadership team.The candidate will collaborate with the Regions HR Vice President and work with subject matter experts in the region to identify needs and create development solutions that show measurable results. The candidate will need to engage learners in a classroom, virtually and/or on-the-job through the innovative solutions developed. He/she will also oversee the management of existing training programs including peer group sessions for several job roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Region leadership,VP Human Resources, HR Business PartnersandDirectorL&D toidentify, create and implement developmental solutions to meet region needs.
  • Participate in regional strategic planningprocess,identifyshort and long termlearning gapsandcreatethe strategy and execution of learning and developmentplans across the region.
  • Develop internal network of SMEs toeffectively and efficiently develop and deliver technical and non-technical training content across the region.
  • Ensure region L&D needs are being met byutilizingthe following skills:
Instructional Design:
  • Collaborate and conduct needs assessments with diverse subject matterexperts
  • Identifyappropriate trainingapproaches
  • Design curriculum, programs, or learning solutions asappropriate
  • Design and develop instructional materials in a variety of learning formats ensuring that learning technologies areleveragedwherepossible
Training Delivery:
  • Align training approach with courseobjectivesand learnerneeds
  • Establish credibility with all audiences: field operations, regional administration, etc.
  • Facilitate learning, encourage participation, and motivatelearners
  • Establish trust and credibility with learners through provenmethods
Manage Learning Programs:
  • Prepare for training programs including event planning andorganization
  • Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and external vendors to develop and delivertraining
  • Optimizetraining processes forefficiency
  • Manage trainingbudget
  • Evaluate courses and make changes based onfeedback
Learning Technology:
  • Use LMS to manage the administration of all training activities and learner data including transcripts, compliancerecordsandcertification
  • Develop and test innovative learning solutions within the LMS that provide increased customer value and/orefficiency
  • Design, develop, and deliver learning events using standard McCarthy and industry learningtools
  • Provide administrative and customer service support whenneeded
Training Support:
  • Partner with Regional Human Resources team to ensure alignment with business needs, region/companyinitiativesand/or developmentsupport
  • Collaborate with Corporate L&D and the extended Learning and Development team on solution development strategy,leverageexisting solutions and resources and LMScapabilities
  • Monitor training activities, managecontentand provide recommendations for all training solutions based on businessneeds
  • Develop andmaintainregional communications such as LMSupdates and schedulesand newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events andresources
  • Develop solutions for ad hoc projects and initiatives in support of regionalneeds
  • Occasional travel within the region to jobsites,meetingsand training events
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Education related field preferred
  • Proven experience designing, developing, andfacilitatingtraining in a businesssetting
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to prioritizeactivities
  • Ability to assess skills and knowledge anddeterminewhat developmental solution isneeded
  • Knowledge and experience in instructional design
  • Independently motivated with proven ability to follow through oninitiatives
  • Highly engaging and collaborative style in working cross-functionally
  • Design and development of instructional materials in a variety ofmedia
  • Ability to encourage participation and motivatelearners
  • Flexibility to deliver training in all formats: classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous, etc.
  • Ability to travel within region with occasional overnightstay
  • The technical aptitude or experience to work with an LMS, online development tools, and key Microsoft Officetools
