We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Business Development Director to join our North American sales organization.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director plays a critical role in driving KORE’s growth strategy by acquiring new customers, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence within key markets. This role is best suited for a driven, consultative sales professional with a strong background in IoT, telecommunications, or connectivity services—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and brings a true “hunter” mentality to enterprise sales.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Growth & Financial Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan focused on new logo acquisition and revenue growth.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across KORE’s comprehensive IoT services portfolio.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales, subscriber acquisition, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Analyze KORE’s competitive positioning to effectively differentiate our offerings and expand market share.
Customer Engagement & Acquisition:
- Establish and develop strong relationships with new enterprise customers and key stakeholders, including C-Level executives and decision-makers.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new leads into long-term partnerships aligned with KORE’s business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that highlight KORE’s value proposition.
- Represent KORE at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to build brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
Business Process & Strategic Excellence:
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, contracting, and closure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity, opportunity pipeline, and revenue forecasts in CRM (Salesforce).
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalize commercial proposals and contractual documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with Account Management, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Build and sustain a comprehensive database of industry contacts to support long-term business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in services or product sales within the North American market.
- At least 5 years of experience in networking or telecommunications services, with a minimum of 2 years focused on cellular or wireless communications.
- Deep understanding of IoT connectivity technologies, including 5G, CAT-M, eSIM, LPWAN, and related ecosystems.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex enterprise deals and achieving sales targets in a competitive technology landscape.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience and a strong network within one or more of KORE’s key verticals: Healthcare (Connected Health), Fleet Management & Logistics, Industrial IoT, or Smart Cities.
- Demonstrated success in driving multi-million-dollar revenue growth through a consultative, value-based selling approach.
- Formal training or certifications in recognized sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, MEDDIC).

Technology & Industry Knowledge: Excellent grasp of IoT connectivity, wireless communication technologies, and the broader Internet of Things ecosystem.
Effective Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
