Job Summary:
This position will work with the Fulbright Data and Operations team. The Senior Finance Coordinator, AEL provides financial and programmatic support to the Academic and Experiential Learning teams, as well as other initiatives of the larger Fulbright departments. Work is conducted primarily in IIE's financial systems. The Senior Finance Coordinator works across teams and will occasionally assist with application review, submission of candidates to universities and other responsibilities related to the setup of professional development/training opportunities for participants.
Essential Functions:
- Initiates payment of invoices from vendors who provide goods and services to IIE.
- Maintains Purchase Orders for subcontracting/consulting agreements with external vendors.
- Schedules stipend/allowance payments (one-off and recurring) to program participants.
- Reconciles extensive expense reports, largely consisting of university application fees and tuition deposits.
- Coordinates ordering of departmental supplies.
- Provides training on payment and expense report processes to peers and gives clear guidance on expense coding to the department.
- Monitors departmental spending and informs manager of any red flags.
- Conducts technical review of program applications for completeness, missing materials, eligibility and program requirements.
- Fills out, submits and pays for online university applications on behalf of program candidates.

Education and Work Experience:
• Requires an Associate’s degree and at least two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Detail-oriented with high attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
• Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Preferred experience with PeopleSoft and Concur.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Salary and Benefits:
• Hiring Salary: $54,056.12. A candidate's starting payrate is determined by the Union pay grade for the role and is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
