GENERAL SUMMARY:
Enrollment Specialist advise, educate, consult, and support qualified, potential students in achieving their professional and personal goals by enrolling in one of NewSchool of Architecture & Design’s higher education programs. Student leads are provided. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment and Marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determining their eligibility to apply and enroll in various academic programs.
- Follow-up with potential student inquiries via phone, email, text, and in person.
- Provide a positive and superior experience to prospective and new students inquiring about NewSchool, its academic programs, admissions requirements, policies, payment options, and procedures.
- Build rapport and guide students interested in obtaining a degree through the enrollment process.
- Leverage available tools that move students through the conversion process, including scholarships, student ambassador connections, academic connections, open houses, testimonials, campus visits, and marketing materials
- Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce (CRM) to track the status and progress towards the enrollment of assigned students
- Prepare and maintain progress, conversion, and related reports on a weekly basis.
- Consistently seek opportunities to drive student growth by referrals
- Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, processes, and policies at NewSchool; understand the higher education landscape and be able to compare and contrast NewSchool to competitor institutions.
- Utilize professional communication skills on a daily basis while conversing with students in person, on the phone and when corresponding by email and text.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of recruitment, sales, customer service, account management or relationship experience in a college setting, preferred
- Working knowledge of CRM software, Element 451, preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must possess confident telephone presence
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize, and goal oriented while working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must possess effective time management skills, sense of urgency, and ability to plan and prioritize daily activities
