Claims Processing Rep at Tanner Memorial Clinic – Kaysville, Utah

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Claims Processing Rep located at our Kaysville Business Office. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Enter patient payments into database
2. Ensure accuracy of data
3. Communicate fee schedule discrepancies to Business Office Director
4. Maintain strict personal, customer, and company confidentiality.
5. Other duties as assigned

Education: High School diploma or GED required

Experience: Data entry experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge
• 10-key accuracy by touch
• General working knowledge of medical billing and processing is preferred
• Knowledge understanding of basic medical terminology is helpful

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of medical billing and processing
2. Knowledge of coding and clinic operating policies
3. Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Skills:

1. Proficient skills in computer programs

Abilities:

1. Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations
2. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
3. Ability to communicate effectively and work with others

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
