About the Role
As a Personal Banker II you will provide quality customer service while conducting a variety of savings, checking, and credit transactions. Responsibilities include maintaining a cash drawer, performing teller transactions, balancing cash daily, opening new consumer accounts, and assisting established customers with their personal banking needs. This role requires advanced knowledge of bank products and services and the ability to recommend solutions that meet customer needs.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. (hours vary)
Saturdays - 8:45 to 1:15 pm (rotational)
What You'll Do
- Engage with customers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions
- Open a variety of new accounts, including checking, savings, and CDs and assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts
- Process retail and commercial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and loan payments
- Process related services including check orders, wire transfers, sweeps, service charges, and dispute forms for ATM, debit, and ACH transactions.
- Educate customers on various banking products, services and digital banking tools to enhance customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with banking regulations
- Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2)) or more years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a financial institution
- Two (2) or more years of cash handling experience, preferably in a financial institution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Some college experience
- Knowledge of banking rules and regulations
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse clientele
