Material Coordinator – Quality
Reporting To

$22 – $30 per hour (DOE)
Role Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Coordinator – Quality to support the Quality department by managing the flow, staging, and tracking of parts in inspection, non-conforming material review (MRB), and quality hold. This role ensures material is properly identified, segregated, documented, and moved to the next step in the inspection and disposition process.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, log, and stage parts arriving in the Quality area for first article, in-process, and final inspection.
· Maintain accurate, real-time visibility of all material in the Quality area including location, status, and disposition.
· Manage non-conforming material (MRB) including tagging, segregation, documentation, and movement per disposition.
· Coordinate movement of parts between Quality, Production, and Shipping/Receiving areas.
· Support inspectors by pulling job paperwork, routers, drawings, and related documentation.
· Update ERP/MRP system with material moves, status changes, and disposition transactions.
· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards in the Quality area.
· Support Receiving Inspection as needed including unpacking, identifying, and routing incoming parts.
· Assist in cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories of Quality-area stock.
· Follow all AS9100 requirements for traceability, identification, and segregation of materials.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· 2+ years of material handling, inventory control, or shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, or similar).
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and data entry.
· Ability to read and follow written work instructions, routers, and drawings.
· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and email.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Additional Information
Preferred Skills
· Prior experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environments.
· Familiarity with aerospace or precision machining manufacturing.
· Forklift and/or pallet jack certification.
· Experience with Quality systems and non-conforming material (MRB) processes.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand for long periods and move between different workstations.
· Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
· Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other manufacturing conditions.
