About the role
The People Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day of the employee experience by administering employee benefits processes, maintaining employee records and systems, onboarding and offboarding administration, policy and compliance coordination, and routine employee support. This role helps ensure that people operations are accurate, timely, organized, confidential, and employee-friendly.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining our monthly newsletter, weekly Collab Exchange, and other people-focused programs.
This is a hybrid position where you will be expected to come into the office a few times per week to ensure our office is well stocked with supplies, food, and drinks. Additionally, this role will be responsible for other office-related functions like shipping and receiving, booking conference rooms, and supporting the office in any other way as necessary.

What you'll do
Benefits and People Coordination
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, open enrollment support, vendor coordination, and routine employee questions.
- Maintain employee data and records in ADP and Rippling, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process employee lifecycle changes such as new hire administration, status changes, leave-related documentation, and qualifying life events.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics, checklists, forms, system updates, and cross-functional handoffs & coordination.
- Support compliance and record keeping, including policy acknowledgements, document retention, audits, and required employee documentation.
- Prepare recurring reports, track operational metrics, audit data for accuracy, and help improve people processes and documentation.
General Administration
- Coordinate the monthly company newsletter, including soliciting input and generating content.
- Coordinate the weekly Collab Exchange, including soliciting input, scheduling, running, and recording sessions.
- Keep the company My Work wiki space up-to-date.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the office. Order office supplies, book conference rooms, handle shipping requests, and ensure the office is fully supplied with appropriate snacks and drinks.
- Support special projects as needed.
What You’ll Need
- 2–4 years of experience in employee benefits administration, preferably as an HR Benefits Specialist
- Experience with applicable benefit laws including ERISA, IRS and DOL labor regulations, Section 125, and COBRA
- Experience managing parental, medical, and FMLA leave
- Experience using an HRIS and working with spreadsheets, employee records, and process documentation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, discretion, and follow-through
- Clear communication skills and a strong employee-service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while handling confidential information appropriately

What the Environment Looks Like
Physical Demands
- Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasional adjusting or moving of light objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
- Continuous communication on live video chats, calls, and through emails and messaging platforms for the purpose of exchanging information.
- Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Travel, sometimes frequent, is expected.

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 88,000 USD per year(HQ)
