Security Engineer at Jobgether – India

This role sits at the intersection of security, AI, and cloud-native software development, ensuring that a modern AI-powered SaaS platform remains secure, compliant, and resilient by design. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to embed security directly into development workflows rather than treating it as a final checkpoint. Your work will span cloud infrastructure protection, application security, and the emerging challenges of securing LLM-driven systems. This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role where you will influence architecture decisions, automate security controls, and help shape a strong “security by design” culture. You will also play a key role in enabling teams to move fast without compromising safety or compliance. The environment is fast-paced, product-driven, and deeply focused on building trustworthy AI systems for enterprise customers.

• Embed “shift-left” security practices by integrating automated security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines to detect vulnerabilities early and improve development velocity safely.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across production environments using infrastructure-as-code, including identity management, network security, and encryption practices.
• Build security strategies for AI and machine learning systems, addressing emerging risks such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and model extraction threats.
• Develop and maintain security observability, monitoring systems, and incident response workflows to detect, investigate, and resolve security events efficiently.
• Conduct threat modeling and architecture reviews in partnership with engineering and product teams, ensuring security is embedded into design decisions from the start.
• Support compliance initiatives and enterprise security standards, helping maintain trust with regulated and security-conscious customers.
• Act as a security advisor within cross-functional teams, enabling secure development practices without slowing down delivery.

You bring several years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or application security, ideally in cloud-native SaaS environments. You are comfortable working across infrastructure, application, and AI security domains and understand how to balance strong protection with engineering speed. You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, modern security tooling, automation, and secure software development practices. You communicate clearly, think systematically about risk, and enjoy collaborating closely with engineers and product teams.

• 4–6 years of experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or Application Security
• Strong expertise in cloud security (networking, IAM, encryption, threat detection)
• Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP/Azure environments and cloud-native architectures
• Proficiency in security automation and scripting (security tooling, CI/CD integration)
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and modern web/API vulnerabilities
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability management tools
• Knowledge of threat modeling, incident response, and security monitoring systems
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, similar tools)
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Nice to have: experience securing LLM/GenAI systems, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance work, or exposure to B2B SaaS/AEC domains
