VP Industrial Engineering

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP Industrial Engineering in the United States.

This is a senior executive leadership role responsible for designing and scaling the industrial engineering systems that power a modern, high-growth pharmaceutical and healthcare fulfillment network. The position plays a critical role in building end-to-end operational infrastructure across compounding, dispensing, packaging, and delivery processes, ensuring both regulatory compliance and operational excellence. It combines strategic architecture of production systems with hands-on leadership of large-scale facility expansion, automation, and capital investment programs. The role operates in a highly regulated environment, requiring deep expertise in cGMP and pharmacy standards while enabling scalable, high-throughput operations. As a key partner to Pharmacy, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership, this role ensures systems are efficient, compliant, and future-ready. It is a unique opportunity to shape the industrial backbone of a rapidly expanding healthcare platform.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and lead the industrial engineering strategy across compounding, pharmacy operations, and fulfillment networks.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end production workflows spanning compounding, dispensing, packaging, and delivery systems.
  • Establish scalable operating models that can be replicated across multiple sites and future facilities.
  • Lead facility design, cleanroom environments, and network expansion initiatives to support growth and capacity needs.
  • Own large-scale capital planning and execution, including automation, equipment deployment, and infrastructure investments.
  • Implement governance frameworks to ensure disciplined execution and reporting of capital and engineering projects.
  • Ensure all systems meet cGMP, FDA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements, including USP standards.
  • Partner with Quality and Pharmacy leadership to embed compliance into engineering design and maintain inspection readiness.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven process optimization.
  • Improve throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency by identifying and resolving system and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Build and lead a multi-site industrial engineering organization, developing leaders and strengthening technical capabilities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, Technology, and Finance.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operations engineering in regulated or high-precision environments.
  • Proven leadership experience building and scaling engineering teams across multi-site operations.
  • Deep expertise in cGMP, FDA regulations, and Board of Pharmacy requirements (USP <795>, <797>, <800>).
  • Strong track record in designing and scaling high-throughput production, compounding, or fulfillment systems.
  • Experience with cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing sectors such as pharma, biotech, or medical devices.
  • Demonstrated ownership of large capital programs, including facility builds, automation, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Strong knowledge of validation processes, quality systems, and inspection-ready operational frameworks.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, capacity planning, and operational analytics.
  • Ability to operate effectively across strategic and hands-on execution levels.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and equity compensation for full-time employees
  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid parental leave and family support benefits
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Regular offsite team gatherings and retreats
  • Strong focus on wellness, flexibility, and work-life balance
  • Inclusive culture promoting diversity, ethics, and belonging.
