The Opportunity

The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Indirect, Logistics & Warehousing leads enterprise-wide strategy and execution across approximately $45M in indirect spend and $6M in logistics and transportation. This role develops long-term sourcing strategies, optimizes warehouse and 3PL performance, and drives measurable cost, efficiency, and risk improvements across the global supply chain network.

This leader partners closely with Operations, Finance, Digital, Distribution Centers, and executive leadership to modernize procurement processes, strengthen supplier partnerships, and elevate logistics performance across regions.

This role directly impacts cost structure, operational efficiency, and scalability as Det-Tronics continues its global growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes multi-year sourcing strategies for indirect procurement categories and logistics operations to drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier performance.
  • Manages approximately $45M in indirect spend and $6M in logistics spend, ensuring year-over-year cost improvements and budget adherence.
  • Leads end-to-end sourcing processes from RFQ through contract negotiation and supplier onboarding.
  • Establishes and governs 3PL partnerships, including performance oversight, commercial negotiations, and strategic optimization initiatives.
  • Creates and implements 1-, 3-, and 5-year warehousing strategies focused on automation, productivity, and network optimization.
  • Leverages data analytics and business intelligence tools to monitor supplier performance, logistics KPIs, and operational efficiency.
  • Develops preferred carrier routing guides and ensures compliance across factories and global sites.
  • Partners with Digital teams to implement automation solutions and improve procurement workflows.
  • Drives cross-functional alignment to resolve supplier escalations and improve delivery, quality, and cost performance.
  • Incorporates emerging logistics technologies and industry trends into strategic planning to enhance scalability and resilience.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of global supply chain, strategic sourcing, or logistics leadership experience
    OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multimillion-dollar indirect and/or logistics spend.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional or global teams through influence.
  • Experience negotiating complex supplier contracts and managing 3PL relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, life safety, automation, or engineered product environments.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain/Operations).
  • Experience implementing warehouse automation or digital procurement tools.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities with experience leveraging BI platforms.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience working in private-equity or high-growth environments.
