Essential Functions/Typical Tasks:

• Meets all incoming customers and checks vehicles for convenience center sticker;
• Coordinates traffic flow in the convenience center;
• Addresses landfill patrons' problems or concerns;
• Answers questions from users and the general public;
• Performs spot checks on incoming loads and ensures materials are acceptable;
• Ensures dumpsters and containers are only used for appropriate household materials and empties them when full.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous lifting; carrying; pushing; pulling and other strenuous activity. May risk exposure to dirt; dust; pollen; odors; fumes; temperature and noise extremes. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for operation of machines; determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work; and observing general surroundings and activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school graduation or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
