At YWCA Greater Cleveland’s Norma Herr Women’s Center, we provide safety, dignity, and healing to women facing homelessness. Many of our guests are living with mental illness, substance use challenges, or the effects of trauma. Our team works together to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care that helps each woman take steps toward stability and recovery.

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who brings not only clinical expertise, but also patience, empathy, and a heart for service. This is a unique opportunity to use your nursing skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women experiencing crisis and recovery.

As our Wellness Practitioner RN, you will:

• Provide respectful and compassionate medical and emotional support to guests.

• Complete intake health assessments, monitor vitals, and administer medications.

• Collaborate with our clinical team, case managers, and community health partners to support holistic care.

• Respond calmly and effectively to medical or psychiatric emergencies.

• Encourage guests in understanding and managing their health needs with dignity.

What We’re Looking For

• Required: Active Ohio RN license, valid Ohio driver’s license.

• Preferred: 3+ years of psychiatric or practical nursing experience.

• A deep sense of compassion and patience in working with vulnerable populations.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate crisis situations with calm and care.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while working in a trauma-informed environment.
