The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures. Administers medications accurately and safely. Documents according to policies and procedures perform, demonstrate and document technical skills specific to the nursing unit.

Qualifications:

Required:

• ASN or Nursing diploma (Must be willing to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date)
• Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• BSN
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in radiation oncology preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
• Current New Jersey RN license
• Obtain and maintain OCN certification or receive 12 continuing education credits in the oncology specialty on an annual basis

Scheduling Requirements:

• Position is for days, per-diem

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients
• Identifies a plan of care and implements and evaluates the care given
• Provides direct and indirect care to patients during their radiation therapy
• Coordinates care given by other team members
• Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality and efficient care
