Senior Accountant at Lee Wesley Group, LLC dba Burger King – Orlando, Florida

Lee Wesley is seeking a Senior Accountant who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and motivated to keep our financial operations accurate and efficient as we continue to grow. The Senior Accountant will handle the day-to-day accounting operations while also providing guidance to junior staff and partnering directly with the CFO. This role is highly hands-on — preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports — but also includes leadership in ensuring accuracy, process improvements, and accountability within the finance function.

• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial reports across multiple entities.
• Oversee AP/AR processing and review vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, sales tax filings, and franchise reporting.
• Supervise and mentor 1–2 accounting staff, reviewing work and providing guidance.
• Prepare variance analysis and provide insights to the CEO on financial performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with data and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA a plus but not required).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise, Restaurant 365, NetSuite, or Sage preferred).
• Ability to work independently while providing oversight to junior staff.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
