Audit Senior Job Description
Altruic Advisors is seeking an Audit Senior. This is a hybrid remote/in-person position that requires limited travel to clients. Your working hours will typically be split between your home office and our collaborative firm office. While most of our engagements are performed remotely, you will occasionally be required to visit a client's office in person.
Job Requirements
As an Audit Senior, you will:
· Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements from planning through issuance
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, evaluate internal controls, and communicate effectively with clients
· Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
· Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
· Prepare Form 990 returns for clients
· Develop staff and provide on-the-job training
· Ensure adherence at all times to firm and professional standards
Qualifications
· A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
· CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam
· Minimum of 2 years of recent audit experience in a public accounting firm
· Experience with nonprofit auditing and/or accounting is desirable but not required
· Demonstrated ability to manage goals through collaboration and teamwork
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
· Experience with audit and tax engagement software (CaseWare, Suralink) is desirable but not required
Team/Interpersonal Skills
· Ability to communicate directly and effectively with fellow accounting team members as well as the client and client's staff
· Ability to build a strong professional rapport with the client, giving consideration to the client's unique nature of business and mission
· An open, engaging, and competent demeanor when interacting with clients

· Preference for working within a small, non-traditional firm environment
· Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed; readily and independently assessing priorities and reviewing work for quality
· Strong analytical skills and ability to apply problem-solving techniques
· A positive attitude, outstanding client service skills, and a desire to learn and grow
