Assistant Engineer - MMC (Dredging) at RIM Recruitment Professionals – Galveston, Texas

Qualifications
Candidates for the Assistant Engineer position must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a valid Passport, TWIC, Driver’s License, and Medical Certificate with a valid STCW date.
• MMC Assistant Engineer certification for Motor Propelled Vessels with at least 4,000 Horsepower.
• Strong skills in:
  • Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
  • Equipment management and supervision of staff/crew members.
• Analytical and mentoring skills to support team development and operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of operating various types of marine equipment, tools, and devices.
• Ability to comply with safety rules, regulations, and company standards.
• Effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Reliability, motivation, and the ability to work away from home at remote project locations for extended periods.
• Competencies include stress management, teamwork, and results-driven performance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Daily Pay: $650–$700 per day.
• Work Rotation: 21 days on, 21 days off.
• Allowances:
  • $100/month for cell phone.
  • $600/month for vehicle allowance (if air travel is not required; otherwise, the company covers travel accommodations).
• Per Diem: $35/day during construction phase; drops after commissioning as the company provides meals and lodging.
