Job Title: Welder
Department: Sheet Metal Department- 11 Forest Parkway Shelton,CT
Summary: The primary role for this Welder is competently perform MIG and TIG welding tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Properly performing MIG, TIG and other welding activities.
- Reading blueprints, shop drawings and other production documents.
- Operate other shop equipment to meet department and customer demand.
- Follows and adheres to all company and departmental procedures and policies.
- Use good judgment in performing tasks correctly the first time through.
- Provide input to help improve the performance of the department.
- Perform tasks while complying with company safety policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment (may require sweeping, mopping, trash removal)
- Promptly report to supervisor all observations that are relevant to ensure a safe and efficient operation in the department.
- Communicate with managers, peers, and subordinates on a routine basis.
- Timely and accurately completes documentation.
- Work overtime when needed.
- Perform other duties as required. Most, if not all the work, will be in assistance of the Sheet Metal Department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other manufacturing information.
- Knowledge of production machinery operations.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in metric and English units of measure
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted throughout the day.
