Role Summary
We seek an experienced Senior Network Engineer to architect, deploy, secure the hospital and clinics critical network infrastructure. This onsite role demands high-level technical expertise in HPE Aruba environments, Palo Alto security ecosystems. The successful candidate will ensure maximum uptime, optimal performance, and robust security for all clinical and administrative systems.
Detailed Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Engineering
- Design, configure, deploy complex HPE Aruba switching environments (AOS-S / AOS-CX).
- Implement advanced switching protocols. Focus includes VSX, OSPF, BGP, VLAN segmentation.
- Manage network capacity planning. Ensure scalable growth for future data demands.
- Execute network hardware upgrades. Perform firmware patching strategies. Minimize downtime.
Wireless Infrastructure Management
- Engineer, maintain high-density wireless networks utilizing Aruba Access Points.
- Leverage Aruba Central for cloud-based management. Utilize AI-driven insights. Perform troubleshooting.
- Conduct RF site surveys. Analyze heat maps. Optimize signal coverage.
- Troubleshoot client connectivity issues. Resolve interference challenges immediately.
Security & Firewall Administration
- Architect, manage Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) policies via Palo Alto networks.
- Utilize Panorama for centralized policy management. Configure device groups. Manage template stacks.
- Deploy Threat Prevention. Configure URL Filtering. Implement WildFire. Manage GlobalProtect VPNs.
- Maintain Cisco ASA firewalls. Support AnyConnect VPNs. Manage multi-vendor security environments.
Power Infrastructure & Environmental Monitoring
- Administer centralized monitoring platforms for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
- Oversee APC power infrastructure. Manage Tripp Lite backup systems.
- Configure real-time alerting for power anomalies. Monitor input voltage. Track battery health status.
- Schedule proactive battery replacements. Conduct routine self-tests. Ensure continuous power delivery to critical network closets.
Monitoring & Operational Excellence
- Monitor network health 24/7. Utilize tools to identify latency. Detect jitter. Flag packet loss.
- Lead root-cause analysis for network outages. Implement permanent remediation steps.
- Create detailed network diagrams. Maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance. Prepare for audits.
- Mentor junior staff. Provide escalation support for complex technical incidents.
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering.
Required Experience
- 7+ years enterprise network engineering experience.
- Deep expertise: HPE Aruba switching (Core / Aggregation / Access layers).
- Proven proficiency: Aruba Central management / monitoring.
- Advanced skills: Palo Alto Firewalls. Panorama centralized management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a related technical field.
- Cisco ASA Experience: Strong operational knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls. Experience with VPN configurations.
- Certifications:
- Palo Alto: PCNSA / PCNSE.
- Aruba: ACMP / ACCP.
- Cisco: CCNP Security / Enterprise.
