SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Patient Accounts Director, performs all cashiering and/or cash posting duties in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures posting accuracy through careful review of electronic remittance advices (ERA). Troubleshoots complex payment issues. Processes all payer refund requests after review of third-party payment audits. manages account receivable activities to ensure optimal revenue outcomes and customer experience.

EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 2 years in business office setting, customer service, or financial-related position required; 3-5 years in medical/hospital-related position preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:Proficient typing and 10-key; excellent customer service and communication skills required; excellent judgement skills in handling difficult situations; ability to work in fast-paced environment; ability to problem solve issues where analysis and complex decision making is required; decisions and actions have direct impact on hospital financials.

OTHER:Exceptional customer service skills; skilled in Microsoft Excel; ability to work independently; familiarity of electronic remittances preferred; knowledge of lockbox processes preferred.
