Position Summary:
The Department ofRadiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking anoutstanding individual to join our Cardiothoracic Imaging section. Discover what makes this remarkable academic medicalcenter one of the best places to work in the Southwest!
In-person, hybrid, andremote options all available, as well as academic and staff (100% clinical)positions.
The section is aprogressive, enthusiastic, and collaborative group engaged in innovation. Responsibilities encompass clinical serviceand teaching as well as close collaboration with consulting services inThoracic Surgery, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Thoracic Oncology,Trauma, Cardiology, and Medical and Surgical Services. Clinical responsibilities include alldiagnostic aspects of thoracic imaging including chest radiography, chest andcardiac CT, dual energy CT, and chest and cardiac MRI, but no interventionalprocedures. The department is developing a Lung Cancer Screening Program toprovide a much-needed service to the New Mexico population. Additionalopportunities include participation in tumor boards, multidisciplinaryconferences and other interdisciplinary activities. Research opportunitiesinclude diverse and growing translational imaging and image processingfacilities and are supported by dedicated research and publications staff.

• MD, DO, or equivalent
• Able to obtain state licensure in the state of New Mexico
• Cardiothoracic imaging fellowship, completed by contract start date, or comparable experience
• ABR board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date
Preferred Qualifications are as follows:
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
• Desire to work in an academic radiology practice with residents and fellows
