Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer position is responsible for enhancing data processes, automating workflows, and creating high-impact reporting solutions to support data-driven decisions across the company. The role focuses on building automation solutions within our Epicor Kinetic ERP system, optimizing data integrations with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Paychex, and Paperless Parts, and delivering insightful business intelligence. Success in this position requires strong technical skills in SQL, VBA, and C#, along with the ability to work cross-functionally to address business needs and drive operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation and Process Improvement: Design and implement automated solutions that improve data accuracy, streamline workflows, and reduce manual input across systems.
• BI Report Development: Build, optimize, and maintain custom BI reports in Epicor Kinetic and Microsoft 365, translating data into actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Data Integration Management: Oversee data integrations between Epicor Kinetic ERP, Salesforce, Paychex, Paperless Parts, and other platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and reliability.
• Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Use SQL and other query tools to extract, analyze, and present data insights that support operational and strategic objectives.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business teams to understand reporting needs, ensure data solutions align with business goals, and provide technical support for data-related projects.
• Documentation and Standards: Maintain documentation of BI workflows, automation processes, and reporting standards to support consistency and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in SQL for querying, managing, and optimizing data
  • Strong VBA skills for Excel automation and data manipulation
  • Experience with C# programming in data environments
  • Experience with SSRS reporting
  • Competency with REST API
  • Familiarity with Epicor Kinetic ERP and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with data integrations for third-party platforms (Salesforce, Paychex, Paperless Parts)
• Business Acumen:
  • Understanding of business processes in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Communication Skills:
  • Effective communicator capable of explaining technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing or custom production settings
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools for data visualization
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic customizations and BAQs (Business Activity Queries)

Remote Work:

• This position qualifies for remote work.
• Reports to the facility Monthly, and weekly as required.
