Title: Regional Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Reports to: Director of Dedicated Services

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Regional Manager to be the direct contact for multiple customers and drivers within our operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless communication and efficient management of our logistics and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leadership and a drive to move into a managerial role, supervising operations managers.

Primary Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and drivers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Oversee and manage logistics and supply chain operations within the region.
• Create and manage schedules for drivers that are specific to our customers’ needs
• Proactively work with our maintenance department to schedule preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed
• Collaborate with operations managers to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Participate in quarterly and annual business reviews to assess performance and strategize improvements.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Handle after-hours communication and be part of an on-call rotation to address urgent issues.
• Travel up to 40% of the time to various locations to oversee operations and meet with customers and drivers.
• Work remotely for the remaining time, utilizing digital tools to maintain communication and manage tasks.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and operational performance.

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and customer both orally and in writing.
• Ability to take job orders from supervisor.
• Ability to get along well with others in organization.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, solve problems, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects.
• Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
• Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating system.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a managerial role.
• Logistics experience preferred
• Proven track record of successful leadership and management in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to different environments.

Special Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by supervisor.
• Must be able to be on call outside of office hours

Environment:

• Hybrid of working from home and in the field with drivers and customers
• Travel required up to 40% per month
