Talantage is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our client's healthcare team at a correctional facility in Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful care in a structured, secure environment while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a physician and be responsible for comprehensive patient care, including assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment management.

Talantage is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our client's healthcare team at a correctional facility in Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful care in a structured, secure environment while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a physician and be responsible for comprehensive patient care, including assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in collaboration with supervising physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Conduct physical and psychiatric assessments, obtain medical histories, and evaluate presenting concerns.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Document clinical encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients within the correctional healthcare setting.

- 2+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (correctional, psychiatric, or primary care experience preferred).
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
