About This Position

Process and manage HPH-Hilton’s F&B employees’ payroll. Calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments. Prepare hourly staff payroll to be exported to process payments on a bi-weekly bases. Assistant must ensure that bi-weekly payroll runs are reported with the correct compensation in a timely manner.

  • Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Responsive to customer needs.
  • Enter Food and Beverage employees, cash tips and time and attendance into system for bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Review hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc. Report discrepancies to management for correction.
  • Prepare administrative invoices and billing for monthly HR payments. Submit documents to bill.com and verify month-end reporting with vendors
  • Partner with vendors regarding expense variations and reimbursements
  • Calculate the correct wages incorporating overtime, shift differentials, bonuses etc.
  • Verify designated payments for holidays. Calculate rate changes.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Frequent contact with supervisors and employees to address payroll matters
  • Reconcile and track vacation, PTO and sick time to Unifocus. Validate accruals with HR policies/ Union agreement.

Administrative Support

  • Perform clerical duties for F&B managers
  • Accurately enters all information received from Vendors pertaining to purchase orders.
  • Attends and actively participates in departmental staff meetings and quality improvement teams for overall organization improvement.
  • Acts as a professional resource to departments in the appropriate evaluation of product detail, product standard and contracts.
  • Enter New Hire information in Unifocus timeclock system
  • Activate badges to Unifocus time clock system
  • Export time and attendance records from Unifocus to ADP for payroll processing
  • Enter payroll deductions
  • Consistently maintains confidentiality of staff, and other sensitive information related to the organization and protects information from unauthorized release.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

FOH Food & Beverage Manager

  • Overall day-to-day operation of Caffe Mercato (Primary Department)
  • Strategic planning increasing departmental revenue (new product enhancements, display organization, specials, etc.)
  • Constant engagement with associates and BOH operations (storage, pars, product rotation, etc.)
  • Continue vendor engagement for optimization, product offerings and merchandising.
  • Re-structure/Re-Build/Control On-Demand platform to improve utilization.
  • Grow Caffe Mercato revenue by per occupied room by the lesser of 15% or $1, verses either budget or prior year.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience processing payroll and time entry functions
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant time and attendance software
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Describe the background education and experiences necessary to perform essential job functions.

Education

Position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience

Demonstrated skills and knowledge, and abilities in the areas contract management, accounting practices. Excellent verbal and written skills. Able to effectively solve problems using critical thinking, planning, organizational skills related to customer service. Willing to serve others and seek personal development. Must have a working understanding of contract negotiations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger entries, filing, and general office equipment. Proficient in Excel, Word, In Sight, Purchase Ordering System, spreadsheets and word processing (Power Point and presentation skills).
