About the Role:

The Dog Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of dogs in our care. This position involves providing daily care, exercise, and socialization for dogs, which contributes to their overall health and behavior. The Dog Attendant will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs, which is essential for their comfort and safety. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with pet owners to provide updates and address any concerns regarding their pets. Ultimately, the Dog Attendant's efforts will lead to a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering trust and satisfaction in our services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with dogs or in a pet care environment is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in pet first aid and CPR is a bonus
• Experience in dog training or behavior management.

• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative

• Reliable and punctual

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily feeding, grooming, and exercise for dogs in accordance with their individual needs.
• Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to the management team.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dog care area, including regular cleaning of kennels and play areas.
• Engage with dogs through play and socialization to promote their mental and physical well-being.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs' activities and any relevant updates.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of dog behavior and care, which will be applied daily when interacting with the dogs. Effective communication skills are essential for providing updates to pet owners and addressing their concerns.
