Sr Industrialization Manager

This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving industrialization and scale-up excellence across innovation and business continuity projects. You will lead a team of industrialization experts to ensure successful vertical start-ups, with strong focus on safety, quality, cost, and speed to market. Acting as a key connector between R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations, you will shape early risk management strategies and ensure robust technical readiness. The role plays a critical part in protecting margins, improving processes, and enabling consistent delivery of new products at scale. You will also build and strengthen organizational capabilities through coaching, training, and mentoring. This position requires a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and cross-functional influence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and drive industrialization strategy, ensuring successful scale-up and vertical start-up of innovation and continuity projects across manufacturing sites.
  • Lead technical readiness processes, including risk assessment, contingency planning, trial readiness, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain standardized frameworks such as technical readiness playbooks, loss models, and stage-gate scorecards to ensure consistent execution.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on project execution and risk mitigation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of industrialization professionals, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, promoting a strong culture of workplace safety and excellence.
  • Drive communication frameworks to ensure transparency on project status, performance, and key operational updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, product development, or industrialization roles, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex industrialization or commercialization projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, process scalability, and operational readiness principles.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards such as OSHA, HACCP, and GMP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent.
