About This Position
GA Foods is seeking to hire a Office Coordinator/Back Up Driver for our Saint Petersburg location. The ideal Office Coordinator/Backup Driver candidate will have a strong administrative background, including conducting daily order entry and processing functions and other administrative functions. Will perform required recordkeeping and process information using established methods/procedures. Will be certified to drive Company trucks and may make deliveries or run routes as needed.
Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and clerical support across kitchen, packing, and transportation departments
- Coordinate and process daily meal counts, customer orders, and delivery data with a high level of accuracy
- Enter, update, and maintain data in internal systems, including menus, orders, and shipment records
- Prepare and distribute menus, labels, worksheets, and other operational documents
- Serve as a liaison between customer service, transportation, and production to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
- Support drivers with route-related or customer issues and assist with delivery confirmations and documentation
- Monitor and resolve order discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and exceptions
- Process warehouse shipments, picks, and end-of-day reporting activities
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies, including confidentiality standards
- Assist with billing, reporting, and cross-functional team support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Experience
- Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Typing speed of 35–40 WPM with 10-key proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data entry systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments
- Self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment
- Must have valid drivers license
- Must have ability to obtain DOT card
Work Environment
- This role involves a mix of warehouse, kitchen, office, and driving responsibilities.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while overseeing production, distribution, and loading activities.
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, often in fast-paced conditions.
- Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, climbing, and stooping are necessary during food handling, equipment checks, and vehicle loading.
- Will be responsible for driving delivery routes as needed; requires sitting for prolonged periods, operating a vehicle safely, and complying with DOT standards.
- Daily use of computers and office equipment to enter data, prepare reports, send emails, and manage schedules.
- Work takes place in a variety of environments, including temperature-controlled kitchens, warehouse spaces, delivery vehicles, and standard office settings.
- Exposure to varying temperatures (cold storage, loading docks, outdoor conditions) is expected.
- Position requires the ability to balance hands-on physical tasks with administrative and supervisory duties.
- This position follows a standard weekly schedule, however, weekend work may be required based on business needs.
