About This Position

Job Status: Full Time or Part Time positions available

Schedule: M - F 9:00 am - 5:30 pm or 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

We are Bend Transitional Care, a 60-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Bend, Oregon that provides transitional, post-hospital care for people who need extra medical support before returning home or moving to longer-term care. We’re dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation care that supports our residents in living their best lives. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Full Time or Part Time Housekeeper to join our team.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors and employees.
  • Takes pride and ownership in the condition of the facility to ensure that it is a welcoming environment.
  • Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
  • Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
  • Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
  • Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each

state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Other Functions

  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
  • Knowledge of infection control techniques.
  • Ability to be patient and polite.
Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.

Licenses/Certification

  • None required.

Experience

  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred, but willing to train the right applicant.
