About This Position
Position Summary
Precise is seeking an Appian Developer to join our team supporting the development and maintenance of a mission-critical federal government solution. This is a remote position.
The Appian Developer will evaluate business requirements provided by system end users and business stakeholders, translate high-level requirements into detailed designs, and plan solutions using provided information and materials. Responsibilities will include the design, development, architecture, implementation, and support of end-to-end business applications on the Appian BPM platform.
Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or EAD/GC holders and must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical planning and requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop,
test, manage projects, architect, and deliver. - Evaluate user requests for business process automation using Appian BPM models to determine feasibility and technical requirements.
- Participates or leads team design meetings, daily scrum meetings, and other development and
program office focused meetings. - The Senior Appian Developer will be responsible for implementing key workflows within the federal labor program’s case management system. This role requires expertise in developing workflows for correspondence, user access, and document
management using Appian and integrating with systems like Kafka and third-party APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience using Agile methodologies to support major IT systems, utilizing Appian, JIRA, Drupal, Cosmos DB, Apache Kafka, JavaScript, complex SQL queries, Oracle and Microsoft office applications including PowerPoint.
- Appian Senior Developer certification
- Preference will be given for experience supporting foreign labor case management systems with public-facing web interfaces.
- Appian development experience, particularly in building workflow solutions for federal labor/immigration systems.
- Experience integrating Appian with external systems, such as Kafka and third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of implementing Appian-based solutions for case management, document generation, access management, and other business workflows.
