This role is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced messaging specialist to support and evolve large-scale Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 environments within a global IT organization. You will play a critical part in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of enterprise messaging systems used across multiple regions. The position involves close collaboration with infrastructure, security, and regional teams to design and implement secure messaging architectures. You will also contribute to large transformation initiatives such as tenant migrations and hybrid cloud optimization. Operating in a complex enterprise environment, you will act as a technical authority for Exchange and O365 messaging solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in solving advanced technical challenges while influencing messaging strategy at scale.
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Hybrid and Office 365 messaging environments.
- Act as subject matter expert for email security, including Microsoft Defender phishing and spam protection policies.
- Support tenant-to-tenant migrations, especially in the context of acquisitions and large-scale transitions.
- Manage Exchange server upgrades, patching, and ongoing system maintenance across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Define and optimize mailbox strategies, database allocation, and messaging infrastructure performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot SMTP connectors, mail flow, on-premise relays, and Exchange administrative roles.
- Implement and maintain email authentication standards such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with InfoSec teams to ensure secure messaging architecture and compliance.
- Provide regular reporting on system risks, mailbox usage, and quota management.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange Online and Office 365 environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Hybrid architecture and Azure Active Directory.
- Deep expertise in enterprise email systems, messaging infrastructure, and cloud integration.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration.
- Solid understanding of change management processes and risk mitigation in enterprise environments.
- Experience working within structured project teams and delivering technical solutions in complex programs.
- Strong Active Directory knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to manage urgent and complex incidents with composure and structured problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach.
