Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a DOT Compliance Specialist in Green Bay to ensure company drivers stay compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT), provincial, state and company policies. The DOT Compliance Specialist will provide training and coaching to drivers and operations on regulations related to driver logbooks and hours of service.
Responsibilities:
- Be a subject matter expert of DOT regulations.
- Answer calls from drivers and operations team members regarding hours-of-service regulations.
- Assist drivers who need help using their tablets.
- Work with drivers who need help editing their logbooks and duty statuses.
- Maintain close communication with safety, operations, recruiting and human resources teams.
- Use various systems to complete compliance processes.
Skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- FMCSA regulations experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office platforms, including Word, Excel and Access.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
