About This Position
The Dietary Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising Dietary Services staff and maintaining daily operations as directed by the Dietary Services Manager. This is a salaried exempt position.
Schedule:
5:30am-1:30pm: Monday thru Friday weekends as needed
Contributions:
- Be knowledgeable about the different diets and consistencies of food prepared for the individuals.
- Develop, cross train, monitor, and counsel staff to ensure the correct food items and consistency of food items are being prepared and delivered.
- Oversee and assist with all food production and food quality checks as needed.
- Assist with the supervision of Dietary Services workers.
- Work directly with Adult Training Facility (ATF) assigned staff within their service time frames.
- Perform in-services and oversee the training of all newly hired Dietary Services workers.
- Oversee and assist with kitchen sanitation.
- Assist with special functions and events for individuals and staff (i.e., birthday dinners) and company functions.
- Assist with the inventory of kitchen supplies and with ordering as assigned.
- Maintain records of food and equipment temperatures.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Must possess knowledge of proper food handling procedures, as well as knowledge of modified diets.
- Must possess the ability to train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
- Must establish an effective working relationship with all those with whom the Department comes in contact.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess and maintain Certification in Food Safety.
- Must have all required clearances.
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License
