This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of advanced cloud-native architectures supporting large-scale data and AI initiatives. The Resident Solutions Architect will create secure, scalable, and innovative solutions while collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders. - Design and implement end-to-end architectures on Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake to support large-scale ingestion, ELT, and advanced analytics.
- Architect medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data lakehouse patterns with both batch and real-time pipelines.
- Enable ML/AI capabilities using MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other libraries within collaborative workspaces.
- Define and enforce security standards including RBAC, SCIM, SAML, SSO, and secrets management.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements while deploying in customer-controlled VPCs.
- Integrate BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI, ensuring interoperability across ecosystems.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and mentorship to engineering and data science teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
- Proven experience designing secure, cloud-native architectures in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, or Scala in data analytics contexts.
- Deep understanding of ACID transactions, data versioning, and point-in-time querying.
- Practical experience with AI/ML model development, deployment, or integration.
- Familiarity with data governance, security controls, and RBAC using Unity Catalog.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience supporting large-scale federal or healthcare data platforms, ML/AI tools (MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost), CI/CD pipelines, GitHub integration, BI tools, and relevant cloud/Databricks certifications.
- Competitive salary ranging from $180,730 to $200,500, with consideration for experience, skills, and location.
